Branford offers full-day child care for Branford working parents. A small number of sliding scale spaces are available for the 2009-2010 school year. The program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. A waiting list is maintained for admittance. First priority is given to those families who would not normally be able to afford a quality child care experience for their preschool age child or children, but all Branford families may enroll. Spaces are assigned by date of waiting list application. The program is a literacy-based program that also focuses on developing pro-social skills in preschoolers, so that they will enter Kindergarten ready to learn. Parent involvement is encouraged, and parent education and support are part of the program's philosophy. The mission of the program is to provide an affordable, high quality preschool experience and to bring out the best in all involved with the program, whether child, parent or staff member.
